Using Aromatherapy to Enhance Your Environment

How to Use Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy uses the process of extracting natural oils from flowers, bark, stems, leaves, roots or other parts of a plant, and the enjoyment of these oils for pain relief, mood enhancement and increased cognitive function. The oils may be inhaled through the use of a diffuser or absorbed through the skin, depending on your preference and sensitivity.

For now, here are The Conscious Non Conformist’s choices for the top 6 oils:

Lavender: Perfect for calming the mind and body, allowing for holistic decompression.

Peppermint: Great for improving focus and lifting energy. Some have experienced relief with muscle pain.

Ginger: Ideal for reducing inflammation and improving digestion.

Eucalyptus: Excellent for congestion, coughs, and upper respiratory issues.

Frankincense: Optimal for creating an introspective and meditative mood. Some believe this oil helps boosts immune systems and brain activity.

Lemon: In our opinion, lemon is the gold standard of oils. Not only can it be used in household cleaning products (i.e., thereby giving your body a rest from chemicals), but it helps to efficiently cleanse your body from impurities.
